.Thank You:

The Installation and Appreciation Dinner was a wonderful night of fellowship, food, and fun. Thank you to everyone who came out to make the night special. It is nights like this that help us to build our businesses as a community, pull people together, celebrate the positive energy of who we are as the Hyde Park economic engine. Being able to honor a member of our community, like Jack, who give so much to enrich and promote Hyde Park is both wonderful press for all of us, and encouragement for others to get involved: we need our positive role models. It was a great evening. Remember that the costs of this event pay not only for the food, but for the administrative costs of planning, organizing, and facilitating this event. Elaine put many hours into this evening, and we would like to thank her. Thank you to all of the businesses who donated items, and sent folks to help us celebrate. Again, your chamber came in with costs far below those of surrounding chambers for a similar event.

Chamber Dues:

Your Chamber Board has been trying its best to hold down costs and still give you services. For the past three years, we have been losing money on the breakfasts, prompting us to raise the cost to $20. We have not raised the cost of HP Chamber memberships in over four years. We have been making up the difference through our dinners and other fundraisers that the board has been working tirelessly to hold, but we cannot continue to keep the HP Chamber sustainable through these efforts. Dues will be going up by $30 per year on every tier of membership. Our dues and event prices are still far below the cost of other area Chambers of Commerce.
